The workshop setting is the ideal environment to grow and flourish as a photographer. There are no phones that have to be answered, no appointments to get to, no distractions to the enjoyment of photography and the special places you visit. Marti’s workshops provide that environment plus creative and supportive instruction.
As a photographer, Marti's passions are teaching and inspiring others to be the best they can be. She pursues these passions by teaching the art of photography, working with each individual to educate and inspire. In addition to teaching the mastery of the technical aspects of photography, Marti's objective is to encourage photographers to capture the spirit and energy of their subjects –whether place or person -- in their photographs.
This is what a participant had to say:
"This was the first workshop I have ever attended. I had no idea what to expect and I didn't know anything about Marti Jeffers. I had received an email from a local photography instructor about the workshop and decided at the last minute to go because of the location. I'M SO GLAD I DID! I have been a wedding and portrait photographer for the past 6 years and I have a commercial photography degree. I had never touched a macro lens before this workshop! At Marti Jeffers' Callaway Garden Workshop I learned something new every day and came away with no only new techniques, but new friends. I gained so much from the one-on-one instruction, the classroom sessions, critiques and other participants. I appreciate Marti's caring, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to freely share her knowledge and experience. It was a treat to spend time with other photographers in such a beautiful place. I hope to attend more workshops in the future." Margie, Warm Springs and Callaway Gardens, 2011
Marti’s workshop experience is extensive. In early 2007, she began assisting on workshops with Craig Tanner and with Radiant Vista. She continued assisting Craig Tanner and The Mindful Eye with workshops as well as contributing to the site. These workshops included a wide range of National Park locations - Big Bend, Grand Teton, Death Valley, and Zion – as well as Savannah and coastal Georgia.
In addition to assisting with many workshops, she designed and taught Foundations in Photography for Women workshops for Radiant Vista and The Mindful Eye.
Marti also served as the workshop coordinator for The Mindful Eye from 2008 through 2010, planning and administering the workshop program, and running the program through Marti Jeffers Photography, Inc.
Marti only offers only a few select workshops (2-4) each year. Register early if you wish to participate in any of the upcoming workshops. Please
contact Marti with any questions you may have.
